Q10 • A value that compares the rate of a biochemical process or reaction over a 10°C range of temperature. A process that is not temperature-sensitive has a Q10 of 1; values of 2 or 3 mean the reaction speeds up as temperature increases.

Quiescent center • In root meristem, central region where cells do not divide or divide very slowly.
