Welcome to Exploring Genomes: Web-based Bioinformatics Tutorials by Paul G. Young of Queen's University.

These tutorials are designed to guide you through the resources available from the NCBI web site, available live on the left side of your browser. To complete the tutorial, read the explanations and follow the instructions that appear in the right side of your browser window. The tutorial will tell you what to click on the NCBI site in order to do searches and analyses on it, and it will explain what is happening. If you get lost, you can go back to the beginning by clicking the link at the top of this page.
